Backyard BBQ vols 1-6 Now On Soundcloud!
I’ve been uploading past installments of the Backyard BBQ series every week since I released volume 6 back in early July. These mixes were started in 2007 as my ode to summer in the northwest and I’m so pleased that they’ve been embraced by the region and across the globe as a go to sunny day / bbq soundtrack. Summer is such an amazing and important time of year in Seattle, as we are known for months of cloudy damp weather during the fall and winter months. The whole city turns into a completely different place in the summertime – camping in the Olympics, boating on Lake Washington, block parties on Capitol Hill, BBQing on my roofdeck every damn day – it is truly the nation’s best kept secret. I thoroughly enjoy the process of creating these mixes every year and still listen to them on a nice day, or when I need to pretend like the sun is shining bright. Happy BBQing and spread the word far and wide. The sun is always shining somewhere!
